Initially in the original the idea is you escaped a very dedicated monster chasing you through several locations (you know. The Helicopter fake out - this is now completely ruined in the remake. Sure they had Nemesis show up sooner in the remake but. I cant even appreciate the tie into RE2 when they rob Nemesis of what his key opening moment of the game was supposed to be. But Brad now dies by Murphy (I think) shooting him. Nemesis is supposed to be this dangerous monster who's sole objective is to hunt STARS members.

But most of the time when a game gets a smart delivery upgrade, I legitimately don't notice any change (like again, the Master Chief Collection-I assume if you ran the Xbone and Series X versions side-by-side I'd see something.
